TO THE EDITOR: As our community continues to celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary, the Bedminster Township Committee focuses on what matters most: improving town amenities, protecting our quality of life, and keeping Bedminster affordable through low property taxes.
Rich Costa may be new to the Township Committee, but he is already a familiar and trusted face to many neighbors in The Hills. As President of the Wood Duck Pond HOA and a member of The Hills Village North Master Association, Rich has a proven track record of effective governance.
Recently appointed to the Committee following Renee Mareski’s resignation, Rich brings valuable, hands-on experience balancing infrastructure maintenance and resident services while keeping association fees low—a practical fiscal mindset that serves all Bedminster taxpayers.
Colin Hickey has long been a proactive, dedicated advocate for our town. He is consistently first in line to hold electric and water utilities accountable when service slips or rate hikes loom.
Colin personally championed the initiative to bring high-speed fiber-optic connectivity to The Hills, and he remains a vigilant fiscal hawk during budget negotiations— helping ensure Bedminster maintains the lowest municipal property tax rate in Somerset County.
Beyond policy, Colin is deeply woven into the fabric of our community. You can find him volunteering every week at the Bedminster Farmers Market, supporting our Revolutionary War heritage at the Jacobus Vanderveer House, or working to deliver township enhancements like the Community Garden and Crossroads Park in Pluckemin.
While other municipalities often struggle with partisan infighting and gridlock, Bedminster is fortunate to have a Township Committee that works collaboratively and constructively on behalf of all residents.
To ensure our town remains well-managed, affordable and vibrant, please join me in voting for Colin Hickey and Rich Costa for Bedminster Township Committee.
